Hi,
when ecb is installed, I cannot quit emacs properly. Whenever I hit C-
x C-c, the following message appears in the minibuffer:
Buffer is read-only: #<buffer .project.ede>
and emacs does not exit, I need to kill it. Ecb does not need to be
activated for this to happen. It does not happen when ecb is not
installed but all its dendencies are, which is why I believe the bug
is in ecb.
It occurs both on emacs21 and emacs22, whether or not I have a .emacs
file and .emacs.d directory.

There was no activity for years in this report and it is marked
unreproducible, thus I'm closing it for now.
Please reopen it if the bug is still present and provide additional
information.
BTW I think the problem is related to EDE and not ECB and a read-only
configuration file the exiting Emacs process is trying to write is not a
situation which could be solved automatically.
