Package: txt2man
Version: 1.5.5-4
Severity: normal

Dear txt2man maintainer,

For some documents, the output's left margin gets wider and
wider over the length of the document. Examining the output
reveals that it contains fewer .RE requests than .RS requests.

How to reproduce : run txt2man on xa-2.1.4f/doc/xa.txt from
http://www.floodgap.com/retrotech/xa/dists/unsupported/xa-2.1.4f.tar.gz
and observe how the left margin goes from 10 spaces for the
first paragraph to 21 for the last.

The same bug is present in upstream version 1.5.6.

Thanks in advance.

One of the advantages of using Debian is that they carefully obfuscate
your email address in the lists archives and in the BTS so you don't get
any spam that way.

Hi Andre,

Sorry, but not a txt2man bug. The xa.txt format is poor for txt2man. txt2man
understand the manpage 'visual' format only.

Please, read the manpage of the txt2man to understand the accepted patterns. I
have lots of manpages in Debian, all made by txt2man, and all are perfect. See
an example here[1].

I am closing this bug.

Regards,

Eriberto
