Hi.
I noticed that Glib error messages are sent to stderr and garble
Irssi's display.
For example, trying opening an SSL connection to a closed port, I get
plenty of the following:
(process:26163): GLib-CRITICAL **: file giochannel.c: line 142
(g_io_error_get_from_g_error): assertion `err !=3D NULL' failed
Those are sent to stderr and not nicely displayed by Irssi, which
forces me to do a screen refresh with ^L.
The work-around I found is to redirect stderr to /dev/null, but I
think that Irssi should just either hide those messages or handle them
as CLIENTCRAP or CLIENTNOTICES (having a quick look at Glib, I'm not
sure it's possible), or close stderr itself which I think is fine.
Regards,
Hugo
