--- Begin Message ---Package: mpd Version: 0.14.1-1 Severity: normal My MPD playback tends to skip when the machine is busy. This is especially noticeable on small/slow machines (e.g. my 64MB/266MHz MIPS box). Reducing the "nice"ness of the process is enough to make those skips disappear. I.e. I think that the call to start-stop-daemon in mpd_start in /etc/init.d/mpd should pass a "-N 10". --- Begin Message ---Fixed 515626 0.19-1 thanks I'm marking this bug as fixed in mpd 0.19-1, as that version starts shipping a systemd service file assigning a real-time budget and priority to mpd. This is supposed to be the correct solution, as it allows mpd to run its player/decoder thread with a high priority, while leaving it to the system to schedule e.g. the database update thread whenever there are cycles available.
