--- Begin Message ---Package: fs-uae Version: 2.4.1+ds-2 Severity: important Tags: newcomer Dear Maintainer, *** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? fs-uae segfaults with the nvidia driver version 340.46-6 * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? This is to my best knowledge a known nvidia bug. A workaround is to start fs-uae with "__GL_WRITE_TEXT_SECTION=0 fs-uae" * What was the outcome of this action? fs-uae appears to work fine with the woraround. * What outcome did you expect instead? I expect a descriptive error message instead of a segfault. Since Jessie is now in freeze, please consider adding a workaround in the fs-uae package to make it useable for more people, at least until the nvidia driver is fixed. *** End of the template - remove these template lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages fs-uae depends on: ii libc6 2.19-13 ii libfreetype6 2.5.2-2 ii libgcc1 1:4.9.1-19 ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 10.3.2-1 ii libglee0d1 5.4.0-2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.42.1-1 ii libglu1-mesa [libglu1] 9.0.0-2 ii libopenal1 1:1.15.1-5 ii libpng12-0 1.2.50-2+b2 ii libsdl1.2debian 1.2.15-10+b1 ii libstdc++6 4.9.1-19 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.2-3 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-2+b1 Versions of packages fs-uae recommends: pn libfs-capsimage4 <none> fs-uae suggests no packages. -- no debconf information

I will look into it and try to provide an updated version for Jessie which includes the fix. I can not guarantee anything yet as I need to talk with the release team first and ask them for an updated version to be unblocked. As there is a fix for the actual bug now, I will close this bug which asks for a work-around. Cheers, Adrian > [1] http://fs-uae.net/2015/01/27/fs-uae-2-4-3-released -- .''`.
