--- Begin Message ---Package: xcdroast Version: 0.98+0alpha15-11.2 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer, I was urgently missing the tool xcdroast in debian 8.0.0. I had downloaded the three DVDs for installation from a german mirror, and could not install xcdroast. Therefore I have downloaded the sources from the original xcdroast website, but ./configure did not succeed. The solution finally was: I have downloaded the ready xcdroast debian package (*.deb) from an older debian out of the archive on the debian website. Then I have installed this package using: dpkg -i xcdroast_0.98+0alpha15-11.2_i386.deb and succeeded. Besides, the next problem was, that xcdroast could not automatically find my DVD reading/writing device. The solution for this was just to add this device in the xcdroast configuration using the device name: /dev/dvd Therefore, I would suggest to introduce an extra DVD for download, which only contains packages, not necessary, but wanted by a minority of users. The names of the DVDs should show their purpose, e.g. extra tools.
