Package: cyrus21-admin
Version: 2.1.5-1
Severity: important
Running sieveshell and specifying a server causes it to crash. This
makes sieveshell quite useless at the moment. Here's a transcript:
mjg@wintermute:~$ sieveshell mail.vee.net
connecting to mail.vee.net
Use of uninitialized value in concatenation (.) or string at
/usr/bin/sieveshell line 175.
unable to connect to server: at /usr/bin/sieveshell line 175.
mjg@wintermute:~$
This is on a fairly recently updated unstable machine, Linux 2.4.16, and
the folllowing packages:
libcyrus-imap-perl: 2.1.5-1
libsasl2: 2.1.2-2
sasl2-bin: 2.1.2-2
perl / perl-base: 5.6.1-7
libc6: 2.2.5-6
cheers,
/mike

This bug has been reported against an ancient version of cyrus
(cyrus-2.1) that is no longer supported. It is assumed to be fixed (or
no longer relevant) in newer releases and therefore I'm closing this
report now. If the problem is still reproducible in the current version
(cyrus-2.4), feel free to provide more information, reopen and reassign
this bug report to a current package.
Andreas
