This plugin for irssi that supports connecting to a Quassel Core.

running on a remote or local server.

I'm closing this for the moment, as on closer inspection quassel-irssi
doesn't seem ready for prime time yet. Testing it locally, I've never
managed to get it to work reliably, and it e.g. doesn't verify SSL
fingerprints yet.
It has great potential, but somebody should pick it up again for
packaging in Debian when it's ready.
