Package: backuppc
Version: 2.1.1-2sarge1
Severity: normal

In version 2.1.1-2sarge1, the -w option was added to $Conf{PingCmd} in
config.pl. This option is available in iptuils-ping, but not in
inetutils-ping and netkit-ping. Thus all backups fail if one of the latter
two imlementations of ping is installed.

  Joachim

Changes:
 backuppc (2.1.1-2sarge2) stable; urgency=high
 .
   * Fixed an important bug: bad options passed to 'ping' make the
backups not being launched at all if 'iptuils-ping' is not installed.
Bug introduced by the last sarge upload because backuppc was built on
     a system with 'iptuils-ping' installed :-(
