The file gnome-i18n.h undefines gettext() if ENABLE_NLS does not exist.
This means if an application doesn't support gettext (and be it only
because the autoconf checks don't check for it), it doesn't compile
because the gettext declaration in libintl.h gets removed.
Only _(String) should be defined to be (String) in such a case, but not
gettext(String).
That's line 31 of /usr/include/gnome-1.0/libgnome/gnome-i18n.h.
