Since mpd can only play one audio stream at a time to a single output or
set of outputs, having an init system that made it easy to launch
multiple instances of mpd would be helpful. Such a system could be
structured like openvpn and other similar systems are structured.
Configuration files could live in /etc/mpd/instancename.conf. The
start/stop logic would simply start/stop each instance in turn.
Many users of mpd use multiple mpd instances to deal with home audio
situations where they have multiple audio outputs and different zones
around their house.
