I had the same problem I had when I upgraded from squeeze to wheezy and we had
resolved at #706862 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=706862
The script /usr/lib/cyrus/bin/upgrade-db delete the directory /var/lib/cyrus/db
The same solution works fine for me::
Replace:
while read -r OLD_DBKEY OLD_DBVALUE ; do
...
done < $OLD_LIST
for:
cat $OLD_LIST | \
while read -r OLD_DBKEY OLD_DBVALUE ; do
...
done
This creates a new child process with diferent variables
