Dear maintainers of sgml-base,

The sgml-base package hasn't seen a maintainer upload for six years (put
into perspective: two stable releases) despite having a RC bug. Clearly
the package is not maintained. In the process of fixing #477751 I got no
response from the uploader Ardo van Rangelrooij and one response from
Daniel Leidert (of whom I do not know how he is related to the Debian
XML/SGML Group). Note that Ardo van Rangelrooij has not done any
maintainer uploads of any packages four 4.5 years.

If you disagree and want to continue to maintain this package, please
close this bug and do an upload also fixing the other issues.

If you agree that it should be orphaned, send the following commands to
[email protected] (replace nnnnnn with this bug's number):

severity nnnnnn normal
reassign nnnnnn wnpp
retitle nnnnnn O: sgml-base -- SGML infrastructure and SGML catalog file support
thanks

Helmut
