Hello,
conserver-server should run as group dialout instead of adm if it's
running as user conservr, since the serial ports under Debian default
to group dialout.
conserver-server 8.1.1-2 did this implicitely due to the group
membership of the conservr user. However, somewhere inbetween 8.1.1-2
and 8.1.12-2 there was a change in the init-script from
start-stop-daemon --chuid conservr to
start-stop-daemon --chuid conservr:adm
I don't know why, but this leads to conserver no longer running as group
dialout implicitely and thus prevents it from access to serial ports.
Thanks for your work & regards
Mario
