Hi,

The emailalert option in ldirectord.cf is defined in the manual page
to be used with quotes:

emailalert="[email protected]"

However, these quotes are then used in the To: header of the generated
email:
To: "[email protected]" <@test1.example.com>

The email arrives correctly because the envelope TO seems to be interpreted
correctly. It seems what's needed is that the quotes used to specify the
parameter value have to be stripped off before it's put into the To
header.

I accidentally managed to test this myself, the To: header looks sane
now:
