The CAPS library version 0.2.3, contains a bug which affects the amd64
architecture. This version of the library is currently in the Debian
Testing release. It is a known problem within the caps library itself,
and was fixed in version 0.3.0.
The bug can be observed when using any of the CAPS 0.2.3 Amp or Preamp
simulation plugins for LADSPA. Setting the 'gain' parameter to 1.000000
or higher will result in the plugin's output being extremely distorted,
or sometimes completely silent depending which LADSPA host is used.
I can confirm that version 0.3.0 of the library fixes this bug on my
amd64 Debian (testing) machine.

And 0.3.0 was uploaded a few days ago already,
therefore, closing this bug again.

Reopen if it persists with the 0.3.0-1 package.
