(1) the constructor section doesn't document the fact that you can specify the port (ie it need not be the standard NNTP port). It could also use an example demonstrating how to specify options ('in a hash like function' didn't mean much to me, at least :->) (2) In the 'Reader' paragraph of the 'Constructor' section, the text has nnrpd and innd the wrong way round: by default you get innd and MODE READER will connect you to nnrpd.
