Package: mc
Version: 4.5.54-1.1
Severity: normal

when i use a color prompt in my console (i use zsh, not bash) mc doesnt work as
it should

eg, apt-get zsh, and put the following in ur "~/.zshrc"
----begin---
PROMPT=$(echo '[EMAIL PROTECTED] %{\033[36m%}$ %{\033[0m%}')
RPROMPT=$(echo '%{\033[35m%}%~%{\033[0m%}')
----end-----

then load up zsh, then load mc (console version, not gnome)..

see, its screwed.

cheers

David

Hi !

You should check if you have \[ and \] operators to delimit a sequence of
non-printing characters like bash. It makes mc happy, but I don't know if it
exists under zsh...

If not, reopen a bug for zsh :-)

Cheers,
