has caused the Debian Bug report #557228,
regarding totem-gstreamer: Missing entry in the gnome menuInstalling only
totem-gstreamer on debian stable does not add an entry in the Video submenu of
the Applications gnome menu (at least for me). In Ubuntu, e.g., that entry
exists, so I guess this icon and menu entry exists but must be in an other
package somewhere (which is I believe a bug, because the menu entry should be
added as soon as someone installs totem).

totem installs a desktop file and the menu icon is properly shown under
GNOME here, so this issue is not reproducible here. The version you
reported this against is also very old, so I'm going to close this bug
report.

If this issue still exists with a recent version of totem, please file a
new bug report or let us know so we can reopen this one.

Regards,
Michael
