Galeon 1.2.x had a menu for controlling whether and how many times
images were animated. A typical strategy was to have animation disabled
or animate-once, then quickly use the menu item to temporarily enable
animation on the rare occasion the user encountered a page that used
animation for a useful purpose. I cannot find a similar menu item in
Galeon 1.3.x, which is a regression.

galeon was last released with Debian 6.0 (squeeze) in
February 2011 and removed from Debian sid/unstable in 2012 (see
http://bugs.debian.org/655053 for details on the removal). Since
support for squeeze and squeeze-LTS has now ended, I'm closing all the
remaining bugs reported against this package.
