ROOT was removed from Debian as there was no longer an active
maintainer, see [1] for some pointers.
I'm closing the bug as a request for a new version isn't helpful with
the package removed; of course anyone wanting to work on the package is
welcome to reintroduce the ROOT package to Debian.
