Hi,
startpar is used by sysv-rc to boot a system when using sysvinit.
With systemd as our default init system, having startpar installed by
default is no longer necessary. I would therefor like to see its
priority demoted to optional.
On a system which uses sysvinit-core as init system, the dependency
sysvinit-core->sysv-rc->startpar will ensure it is installed when
actually needed.
Regards,
Michael
