Hi!

I found out that if php session.auto_start option is enabled horde2
immediately expires user sessions, and so doesn't permit anyone to log
in. This seems to be undocumented anywhere, but seems to be the case in
my experiments.

My suggestion to solve the issue is to:

1. Document the issue at least in README.Debian

2. Fix /etc/{apache/apache2}/conf.d/horde2.conf by adding by default
        php_flag session.auto_start Off

I know this option is not enabled in debian by default, but if an admin
has enabled it, it can be a nightmare to find out what's wrong with his
webmail...

Thanks,

Guido

We believe that the bug you reported is now fixed; the following
package(s) have been removed from unstable:

    horde2 | 2.2.9-1 | source, all
      imp3 | 3.2.8-3 | source, all
 kronolith | 1.1.4-4 | source, all
     mnemo | 1.1.4-1 | source, all
       nag | 1.1.3-1 | source, all
sork-accounts | 2.1.2-2 | source, all
sork-forwards | 2.2.2-2 | source, all
sork-passwd | 2.2.2-2 | source, all
sork-vacation | 2.2.2-3 | source, all
     turba | 1.2.5-3 | source, all

Note that the package(s) have simply been removed from the tag
database and may (or may not) still be in the pool; this is not a bug.
The package(s) will be physically removed automatically when no suite
references them (and in the case of source, when no binary references
it). Please also remember that the changes have been done on the
master archive (ftp-master.debian.org) and will not propagate to any
mirrors (ftp.debian.org included) until the next cron.daily run at the
earliest.

Packages are never removed from testing by hand. Testing tracks
unstable and will automatically remove packages which were removed
from unstable when removing them from testing causes no dependency
problems.

Bugs which have been reported against this package are not automatically
removed from the Bug Tracking System. Please check all open bugs and
close them or re-assign them to another package if the removed package
was superseded by another one.

Thank you for reporting the bug, which will now be closed. If you
have further comments please address them to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
