Package: thuban
Version: 1.0.0-1
Severity: important

I'm having problems zooming when I load two layers into thuban. This
is a description on how I trigger the problem. First I start up the
program and get an empty session. Next I load shore lines available
from [1], and follow up by loading the tracks available from [2] after
converting them from GPX to shp using gpx2shp available from [3].
After loading these two layers, I am unable to zoom into the
Norway/Oslo area were the GPX tracks were collected. I can zoom a
bit, but after 1-2 zoom operations the request for further zooming
only result in repositioning of the map.

If I remove the gshhs layer, I can zoom into the Oslo area without
problems.

I believe this is the bug reported upstream as bug #2559[4]. I report
it here to make the problem known to the Debian maintainer and
interested Debian users.

Thuban upstream development is dead, these issues won't get fixed.
