Hi,

thanks for packaging splashy, it works great here :-)

The FAQ on splashy.alioth.debian.org says
=2D------------------------------------------------------------------------=
=2D---
How can I use another fb driver other than VESA (or, My BIOS doesn't suppor=
t=20
vesafb)

Instead of vga=3D0=C3=97314 use video=3DMYFB (where MYFB can be any of your=
 kernel=E2=80=99s=20
framebuffer drivers) in your bootloader=E2=80=99s configuration file.
=2D------------------------------------------------------------------------=
=2D-----

This (the "instead") is not true here. I have to set both vga=3D and radeon=
fb=3D=20
to get a working splash-screen while booting.

"video=3Dradeonfb:[EMAIL PROTECTED] vga=3D795" is what I have in=20
my /boot/grub/menu.lst.

And, please put this information into /usr/share/doc/splashy/README(.Debian=
)=20
as it's inconvinient to browse the web to learn about how to properly=20
configure the package. (BTW, the README.Debian could also be cleaned up for=
=20
better readability :)

Also it would be nice if you would mention "splashy_config" in the=20
README(.Debian)

regards,
        Holger
