Package: hal
Version: 0.5.6-2
Severity: important
Hal should understand the --retain-privileges option for people who are
willing to run it as root but it doesn't.
It's not a script related issue because manually trying to execute `hald
--retain-privilges` also yeilds the same error.

--retain-privileges is deprecated and doesn't exist anymore both upstream and
in the current patched package.
Hald now uses an architecture with priv. seperation, so it now has the same
functionality as you would have gotten before running it fully as root.
Closing this bug.
