I cant install  the vlc project or the xchat client
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)? vlc
         i tried to install the dependencies, useless, also try to install with 
the tar.gz archive, ./configure ok but lua errors, imposible to "make" also try 
./bootstrap useless  
   * What was the outcome of this action?
   * What outcome did you expect instead?

please report the problems to Kali. There is nothing we can do about
this here in Debian.
