Package: vim-gtk
Version: 2:8.0.0022-1
Severity: important

while the description of vim still states

This package contains a version of vim compiled with a GTK3 GUI and
support
for scripting with Lua, Perl, Python, Ruby, and Tcl.

this doesnt seem to be true anymore as python support isn't enabled, vim states
it wasn't compiled with python when python is used. please enable python
support again. this bugreport applies to vim-nox, vim-gtk3 and vim-athena as
well.

It is compiled with python -- Python3. Both Python and Python3 can't be
enabled at the same time, so one has to be chosen. It was Python for a
long time, but it's time to move to Python3.
