Package: apt-listbugs
Version: 0.1.19
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,
It would be nice if apt-list bugs could be used by user as well.

Something like -

$ apt-listbugs --severity = > important firefox

To break it down, I'm asking apt-listbugs to list all bugs of firefox
which are at least of important severity or better. The versioning
information it takes from the apt database as from wherever it takes.

AFAIK there isn't a CLI tool which does what I'm sharing.

Hello shirish,
thanks for your interest in apt-listbugs.

You almost figured out for yourself how to achieve what you want.
I only have to add that you may specify which severities you are
interested in and a version you want to see bugs for:

  $ apt-listbugs -s critical,grave,serious,important list firefox/49.0-4
  Retrieving bug reports... Done
  Parsing Found/Fixed information... Done
  important bugs of firefox (→ 49.0-4) <Outstanding>
   b1 - #818179 - rgba(0,0,0,0.99) becomes red instead of black
   b2 - #821186 - firfo: Firefox freeze with blank screen
  important bugs of firefox (→ 49.0-4) <Forwarded>
   b3 - #834995 - firefox: Crashes at startup on non-local display
  Summary:
   firefox(3 bugs)

Please also note that firefox and firefox-esr are too distinct
packages, so no surprise they are affected by different bugs.

I am closing your bug report.
For further information, please read the apt-listbugs(1) man page.

Bye.
