Hello Julian

I've written a small patch for debsign that lets it put a maintainer
signature on all .deb files with the new debsigs if a .changes file was
the argument.

This way debuild automatically uses this feature, too, and we should get
signatures on all our .deb's a bit faster.

The patch works for me although it needs a bit work regarding the
keyid but I think debsigs should change its behaviour to allow user names
(as -k for debsign), too.

bye,

 -christian-

Since it seems that debsigs is effectively deprecated in favour of
dpkg-sig, I'm going to close this bug report and instead focus on
Bug#247825.
