Package: muddleftpd
Severity: important
Hi!
We have spoken about this before, the tests were done using version
1.3.13.1-2 of the package, and trying to download a file over the 4
gigabytes created using "dd if=/dev/zero of=zeros bs=1024k count=5000".
Acording to the changelog files on muddleftpd the problem with files greater
than 2 gigas should be solved, but downloading a file bigger than two gigs
will fail, to test this I have used the lftp client, you can also use ncftp
and others, not wget, as wget has problems getting files of more than 2 gigs
as well.
The problem is that the file transmision aborts as we get to the two gigs,
as people is using dvds more and more, I find it important to fix this bug,
other ftp servers as well as web servers distributed by us also have this
problem, in fact, I have not found any web server in sid able to transfer
big files, and among the ftps, only proftpd. :-(
If you need any other info just ask.
Regards!
