In all the places read-string is used (prompting for macro arguments),
you have to reenable the input-method manually if you've enabled it
for the LaTeX buffer. The read-strings should probably be extended
something like this
(read-string "Prompt: " nil nil nil t)
where the fifth argument (on Emacs 21) tells it to inherit the input
method.
I don't know how this would affect Emacs 20 or XEmacs. It's possible
that this simple solution isn't quite enough.
