If You try to play MRL like this:

and it returns http header:
Location: http://host-2/uri-2/playlist.m3u8
that in turn return somthing like chunklist.m3u8, then kodi trying to play MRL
like this:
http://host-1/uri-1/chunklist.m3u8
that is wrong. It should be
http://host-2/uri-2/chunklist.m3u8
