Would it be possible to add some other translation than the few regional
languages currently packaged? Il tried to install the transitionnal
mozilla-firefox, that has many locales, but it has some broken dependencies.

Closing with prejudice. Please file bugs against the translation
packages, not firefox. As far as I know, all those bugs have been
filed.
