Dear Maintainer,
It would be nice if we can get mediawiki 1.28.0 before debian hits
freeze. I just had a look at
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Version_lifecycle and it seems we are
shipping a legacy version. If possible, please update it. I didn't
install mediawiki on this machine hence the lack of details in system
information.

1.28 is the current stable, however 1.27 is the LTS version that will
receive security support until June 2019. 1.28 on the other hand will go
EOL in November 2017.
I might set up a PPA with a stable mediawiki version that updates more
regularly, but for the official Debian repos we're going to follow the
LTS version.
