Dear Maintainer,
I use iceowl only as a calendar application to be able to access our company
caldav server.
I read my emails with kontact which suits perfectly for this purpose and is
less memory consuming than the mozilla email clients.
Every time I start icedove it asks me to create an email account.
Would it be possible to add a 'calendar only' mode to icedove/iceowl?

even currently this isn't possible and in any case a upstream thing.
If you like to use such a feature please open a bug report in the
upstream Bugzilla bugtracker.
We as maintainer of the Thunderbird (former Icedove) can't do much
about. For that reason I will close now this report.
