Dear Maintainer,

I am unable to use fio on a armhf system because it crashes with the
following error:

$ fio test.fio
rand-read: (groupid=1, jobs=1): err= 0: pid=23829: Tue Apr 19 07:37:07 2016
  read : io=32768KB, bw=3353.1KB/s, iops=838, runt= 9770msec
    slat (usec): min=1, max=236, avg= 1.91, stdev= 2.61
    clat (usec): min=1505, max=16993, avg=4762.37, stdev=408.08
     lat (usec): min=1741, max=16995, avg=4764.28, stdev=407.86
zsh: bus error fio test.fio

In dmesg output I see:
[29512.892409] Alignment trap: not handling instruction ed937b00 at [<0001e2b0>]
[29512.894041] Unhandled fault: alignment exception (0x011) at 0x000e3526

It seems that the bug was fixed by the upstream developer in version 2.1.14:
see this commit and following ones:

thanks

Dear Remy.

I am sorry I did not manage to get a backport for Jessie uploaded so far.

Instead of aiming at this again for now oldstable… I rather focus my energy on
packaging newer fio release for Sid as soon as I manage to take the time for
it.

So I won´t fix it for jessie any more. I suggest you upgrade to Stretch if you
didn´t already do so.

Thanks,
