At package upgrade time the openvpn init script was run,
even though the service was not enabled for this runlevel.

This is fatal. I got locked out from a remote system.

Hello Harald,

first thank you for spending your time helping to make Debian better
with this bug report.

Your bug describes a problem that is normal with remote upgrades and it
is no bug. A work around is using screen.
