Package: mailman

Severity: important
Dear Mailman Hackers,
mailmanctl dies on this machine about twice a month. Depending how long it
takes to realize it, mails can get stuck for this much time, until
'/etc/init.d/mailman restart' is run.
some relevant entries in /var/log/mailman/error*
Dec 21 05:46:57 2013 mailmanctl(23395): The master qrunner lock could not be
acquired because it appears as if another
master qrunner is already running.
Dec 21 05:46:57 2013 mailmanctl(23395):

Dec 21 06:25:17 2013 mailmanctl(27213): [Errno 3] No such process
Dec 21 06:25:17 2013 mailmanctl(27213): Stale pid file removed.
a manual restart a few days later gave:
Dec 29 01:11:49 2013 mailmanctl(12936): PID unreadable in:
/var/run/mailman/mailman.pid
Dec 29 01:11:49 2013 mailmanctl(12936): [Errno 2] No such file or directory:
'/var/run/mailman/mailman.pid'
Dec 29 01:11:49 2013 mailmanctl(12936): Is qrunner even running?
Dec 29 05:02:29 2013 mailmanctl(31784): No child with pid: 12938
Dec 29 05:02:29 2013 mailmanctl(31784): [Errno 3] No such process
Dec 29 05:02:29 2013 mailmanctl(31784): Stale pid file removed.
The queue is then processed with old mails being delivered correctly.
I'm not sure how I can find out more information, but I would be happy to help.
cheers,
Paul
