Please apply the patches I will be attaching in my next email to allow
Ubuntu to sync simple-scan from Debian.
Also, please remove clutter by removing obsolete patches from
debian/patches/ instead of just disabling them. You can remove the
comments from debian/rules too since it's just a duplicate of
information that is already in debian/changelog.
