Package: googletest
Version: 1.8.0-10.1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

Thank you for maintaining googletest and the various binaries.
Upstream recently updated to a new version 1.8.1 . If possible please
update to it .

https://github.com/google/googletest/archive/release-1.8.1.tar.gz

Bug-fixes to this release -

1.8.1 Release reflects a current version of the project.
The 1.8.x is the last release supporting pre-C++11 compilers.
The 1.8.x will not accept any requests for any new features and any
bugfix requests will only be accepted if proven "critical"

There also doesn't seem to be any watch file

Something like -

$ cat watch
# Compulsory line, this is a version 4 file
version=4

# GitHub hosted projects
opts="filenamemangle=s%(?:.*?)?v?(\d[\d.]*)\.tar\.gz%<project>-$1.tar.gz%" \
   https://github.com/google/googletest/pulls/tags \
   (?:.*?/)?v?(\d[\d.]*)\.tar\.gz debian uupdate

you might have to fix that up a bit because this is copied and pasted from -

:~/games/debian-nheko/debian$ cat watch
# Compulsory line, this is a version 4 file
version=4

# GitHub hosted projects
opts="filenamemangle=s%(?:.*?)?v?(\d[\d.]*)\.tar\.gz%<project>-$1.tar.gz%" \
   https://github.com/mujx/nheko/tags \
   (?:.*?/)?v?(\d[\d.]*)\.tar\.gz debian uupdate

but should work as they seem to use the same procedure.

All of the credit should go to whoever did the watch file.
