I am (since a few days ago) co-maintainer of formalchemy and have just
uploaded version 1.5.0 to github. (pypi will probably happen tomorrow.)
This includes Python3 compatibility.
I have included mostly-complete Debian packaging in the "debian" branch at
https://github.com/smurfix/formalchemy.
Alternately, I can take over the package (I'm a Debian Developer).
