During my work on castle-game-engine, where I am stripping files from the
upstream tar ball via Files-Excluded in d/copyright, I was surprized to see
that the compression=xz in d/watch was ignored. I had to explicitely add the
repack option to change the compression, although it was already repacking the
source correctly due to the excluded files.
Without repack option:
