Package: libboost-python1.54-dev
Version: 1.54.0-4+b1
Severity: normal
Hi,
during linking a program that uses Boost.Python:
/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-linux-gnu/4.8/../../../x86_64-linux-gnu/libboost_python.so:
undefined reference to `PyList_Sort'
[...]
It appears that the shared library is not linked against python.

Hi,
I am closing this bug[1], because it has stalled for years and there
does not appear to be an actual bug in the first place. Libraries in
Boost.Python are not Python extensions, but just helper libraries, which
do not use symbols in libpython. If other libraries need to link against
libpython, it is their responsibility to do so.

Please reopen if you have evidence for the contrary.
