Dear maintainers,
With a recent upload of check the autopkgtest of riemann-c-client fails
in testing when that autopkgtest is run with the binary packages of
check from unstable. It passes when run with only packages from testing.
In tabular form:
pass fail
check from testing 0.12.0-0.1
riemann-c-client from testing 1.10.3-3
all others from testing from testing
I copied some of the output at the bottom of this report. Looking at the
output it seems that the new check generates output on stderr, where it
didn't produce output that output before. I can't just if check should
output this to stderr, or if riemann-c-client should just update the
test to allow output to stderr (Restrictions: allow-stderr).
Currently this regression is contributing to the delay of the migration
of check to testing [1]. Due to the nature of this issue, I filed this
bug report against both packages. Can you please investigate the
situation and reassign the bug to the right package? If needed, please
change the bug's severity.
