Package: conkeror
Version: 1.0~~pre-1+git140616-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I recently upgraded conkeror. I found that it would not take keyboard input,
except for page up, page down and arrow keys. Conkeror still took mouse input.

This is unacceptable.

When I started conkeror with the terminal, it gave me the following error
message:

--- snib ---
JavaScript error: chrome://conkeror/content/mode-line.js, line 322:
NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED: Component returned failure code: 0x8000ffff
(NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED) [nsIDownloadManager.activeDownloadCount]
Console error: [JavaScript Error: "NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED: Component returned
failure code: 0x8000ffff (NS_ERROR_UNEXPECTED)
[nsIDownloadManager.activeDownloadCount]" {file:
"chrome://conkeror/content/mode-line.js" line: 322}]
  Category: chrome javascript
Console error: [JavaScript Warning: "TypeError: anonymous function does not
always return a value" {file:
"resource://gre/modules/osfile/osfile_shared_front.jsm" line: 551}]
  Category: Web Worker
--- snab ---

I tried two things to fix the bug:

First, I edited /usr/share/conkeror/modules/mode-line.js and commented out the
whole
definition of the downloads_status_widget function. This fixed the bug. I then
reverted my change.

Second, I removed the following line from “$home/.conkerorrc/config.js”:

--- snib ---
add_hook("mode_line_hook", mode_line_adder(downloads_status_widget));
--- snab ---

The mode line is now missing a download widget.
