Package: user-mode-linux
Version: 2.4.26-2um-1
Severity: wishlist
Hi Matt,
I'm using your packages since month now without trouble. Thx for your great
work! But the time is comming while 2.6 kernel become atractive for
professional usage. So I search first for a correspondig package but I'm
missing. Then I tried the 2.4 UML with 2.6 host and failed as described by
the following link:
http://usermodelinux.org/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=14
This patch seams to be missing in kernel-patch-uml.
A look into kernel-patch-uml reveald a patch for 2.6.6 kernel sources. What
about add a corresponding debian/control entry called user-mode-linux-2.4
and user-mode-linux-2.6 where user-mode-linux become a dummy packge for
installing the latest version (2.4 or 2.6 what ever the standard for Debian
is).
If I got no respond I will try to create a patch and make it public here.

Murphy's law. Sigh...
It should have been 264722. Fortunately #264772 is an old and already
closed bug.
Thanks
