Its maintainer indicated that he should better mark it as unmaintained [2], but failed to do so up to now. Two attempts of asking the maintainer for transitioning the project to an active maintainer failed ([3] and [4]). The maintained fork published seven releases (as of 2018), including support for signed git tags (certainly a good thing).
