Hi,

In order for me to upload fwatch (www.fwatch.org) into Debian and
avoid the well known mknod-in-maintainer-script lintian warning, could
you please add support to /dev/fwatch into MAKEDEV ?

Here are the way it needs to be made:

    mknod /dev/fwatch c 40 0
    chmod 440 /dev/fwatch
    chown root.disk /dev/fwatch

Thanks

This request was for devices that conflict with existing kernel device numbers,
and there has been no followup in multiple years. I'm closing this request
with no further action taken.
