"pinfo texinfo" shows me the texinfo manpage, not the info documentation.
"info texinfo" works fine (to the extent of the info program possibly
working "fine").
strace reveals that pinfo looks for /usr/share/info/texinfo.info, but the
texinfo info file doesn't have an .info extension:
